Nota Bene has its content stolen, the platform’s response is “lunar”

Benjamin Brillaud, aka Nota Bene, is followed by 2.41 million followers on his Youtube channel dedicated mainly to history and mythology. His videos, which last between fifteen and twenty-five minutes, aim to popularize specific questions but fun like the origin of Atlantis or the history of the Comanches. A job that requires a lot of time, energy and effort, taken up in its entirety by another channel… A theft to which Youtube reacted in a “lunar” way!

Nota Bene denounces shameless plagiarism, YouTube does not react

Plagiarism on Youtube is an increasingly recurring practice. A videographer, Hbomberguy, recently denounced this practice in a 4-hour video, which will undoubtedly not be enough to change Justice. Although there is a law against plagiarism and copyright infringement, few sanctions are actually put in place, neither by the platform itself, nor by the courts. It is now Nota Bene’s turn to make the theft of its content public and visible by another channel. After reporting the problem on X by tagging the Youtube service dedicated to the site’s creators, Benjamin Brillaud was offered a… lunar answer!

Good morning @YTCreateurs , after having repeatedly reported a Youtube channel that reuploads my entire podcast and having sent several emails to the Copyright department without success, I no longer know what to do to make this channel close. Possible to get a helping hand?

It’s absolutely lunar. A channel steals my content by simply re-uploading my content and… that’s no problem.

I admit that I have it a little bad there 🙂

What exactly should you do there? https://t.co/GIRuF8oYgk

Fortunately, the support of Nota Bene’s followers allowed her to gain the platform’s attention and help for the blatant theft of her content.

A big thank you to everyone for the enormous support given to me. I got Youtube on the phone and they are going to intervene. I’ll let you know in the coming days to see how it goes. https://t.co/I1VIgF2TXe pic.twitter.com/hCUhVxWmQc

A case that is certainly unfair, but far from being isolated, as proven by this YouTuber with 5.4 million subscribers who was pinned for plagiarism… All that remains is to hope for Nota Bene that he obtains win your case and have the problematic channel removed!
