Deadpool & Wolverine: Hugh Jackman Changes the Title of the Marvel Movie, and It’s Hilarious

Waited for it July 24 next, Deadpool 3 is a film eagerly awaited by MCU fans. Directed by Shawn Levythe feature film presents itself as the Deadpool’s third adventure at the cinema. But unlike the two previous opuses, this third chapter is directly connected to the continuity of the MCU. The film will also bridge the gap between Marvel characters from Marvel Studios and Marvel characters from 20th Century Fox.

Deadpool 3 will notably bring back Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. A first since Logan in 2017, which was supposed to be the actor’s last appearance as the clawed mutant. On the occasion of the Super Bowl finale, Marvel Studios revealed the first trailer for Deadpool 3and with it, the official title of the film: Deadpool & Wolverine.

Hugh Jackman’s alternate title

Shortly after this trailer was released, Hugh Jackman took to social media to reveal an alternative title to Deadpool & Wolverine. The actor unveiled a visual which uses the official design of the title of the Marvel film, but changing its content. Deadpool & Wolverine is no longer called that, but Wolverine & Asshole. Wolverine therefore comes first in the title, and Deadpool is called a “bastard”. The actor accompanied his publication with the comment “Fixed it”, which translates to “repaired”. A very funny joke that perfectly reflects the relationship between the two characters. Indeed, in the comics, even if the two characters often cross paths, they are not particularly friends. And Wolverine is regularly tired of the madness of his mutant friend.

Additionally, this title also refers to the friendship between Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds. Indeed, the two actors, very close in real life, use social networks to send each other very funny little pics. The two actors are constantly teasing each other, and this new title is just the latest discovery of this hilarious war.
