Reality is catching up with fiction, as proven by the massive and uncontrolled arrival of artificial intelligence in our lives. Will we also see soon dinosaurs on our planet, yet extinct for 66 million years? This is the crazy project led by George Lucas, the father of Star Warswho puts part of his fortune at the service of paleontologist Jack Horner and his genetically modified chickens dinosaur chicken style. In the past, this specialist first worked with Steven Spielberg on Jurassic Park. Then, in 2014, we find him behind the scenes of Jurassic World the new opus of the saga in which he helped create the Indominus Rex, the fictional species of dinosaur specially imagined for the occasion.

His project Chickenosaurus, already in progress for several years, aims to create genetically modified chickens which would look like velociraptor chickens. In collaboration with his colleague Hans Larsson, Jack Horner, aged 77, is conducting experiments on of the embryos of chickens to arrive at a different species. By blocking the embryonic development of a descendant of dinosaurs at a certain stage, here the chicken, they want to bring out the reptilian part of his genetic heritage. The hen could therefore develop a large tail or even sharp teeth.
