Don’t miss this duel between two of the greatest villains in the universe
Earlier this week, we shared this statement from Josh Brolin, the interpreter of Thanos in the Marvel Studios films, who responded to rumors concerning his return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). And if many fans would like to see the Mad Titan again, the House of Ideas is clearly not lacking in antagonists, and that is why it has decided to highlight two emblematic villains of the Marvel universe, who will soon face each other in a confrontation that already promises to be Dantesque.
A new Dantesque clash between two great Marvel villains
In the same way that there are a myriad of superheroes in the Marvel universe, there are also a plethora of supervillains they face. Among the iconic villains highlighted by the MCU, we will obviously think of Thanos, but also of Ultron, Red Skull or more recently Kang the Conqueror. But this is only a tiny part of all the antagonists that make up the Marvel universe.
Because on the Marvel Comics side, other names have also left their mark on fans. And one of the most iconic villains, especially among Fantastic Four aficionados, this is Victor Von Doom, better known as Doctor Doom (or Doctor Doom in the original version). A character created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby themselves, and who debuted in 1962 in the comics Fantastic Four #5.
A now cult supervillain, who will soon be back in his own comic book series. Indeed, Marvel Entertainment recently announced that the character would return in a series simply titled Doom. Directed by Jonathan Hickman and Sandford Greene, the first issue is expected for the month of May. A brand new adventure that will lead him to team up with Valeria Richards, the daughter of Reed and Susan Richards (aka Mr. Fantastic and the Invisible Woman), in order to face another legendary antagonist, namely Galactus, the Devourer of Worlds.
