Goosebumps season 2: Good news for the Disney+ horror series
Disney+ gives news of Goosebumpsits horror series broadcast in fall 2023. The entertainment giant announces changes regarding the continuation of its show aimed at teenage audiences.

Some of you may know Goosebumpsthis Canadian series broadcast at the end of the 90s on France 2. The series is taken from the works of the legendary collection of the same name, which brings together no less than 87 novels by the American RL Stine, sold 400 million copies worldwide. In September 2023, Disney+ launched its remake developed by Nicholas Stoller and Rob Letterman through a first season of 10 episodes aimed at adolescent audiences, in which “five high school students embark on a terrible investigation full of twists and turns in order to understand the circumstances of the tragic death, thirty years earlier, of a teenager, and in the process discover their parents’ dark secrets. »

Building on this success, Disney decided to renew the project in collaboration with Sony Pictures Television. The group has decided to make a change in its first season. Firstly, it will be abouta brand new story featuring a new cast. A first synopsis was shared:
“Teenage siblings discover a threat within their home, setting off a chain of events that unravel a deep mystery. As they plunge into the unknown, the duo becomes embroiled in the story of five teenagers who mysteriously disappeared in 1994.
“Audiences around the world fell in love with the thrills, thrills, heart and humor of the series, making it one of the most watched Disney Branded Television series of the last year. We look forward to diving deeper into the brilliant mind of RL Stine and collaborating once again with Sony Pictures Television, Scholastic Entertainment and our fantastic creative team to bring an all-new mystery to Disney+ for Season 2.” said Ayo Davis, President of Disney Branded Television.
We also learn that this second season will be composed of eight episodes (instead of ten for the previous one). Regarding the broadcast date, nothing has yet been confirmed from Disney. We hope to see the series arrive here next fall for the Halloween period, as was the case for the first season.
